Any website we choose to affiliate with has met certain criteria. Any one who wishes to have their website affiliated with us, must also meet these requirements.

» First and foremost - affiliates are meant to bring in traffic. If you affiliate with us, that means you want our members to peruse your site. If we subject our members to your website - it better be damn friendly. Ignoring guests on the chat-box is something that will get looked into. If we reject you because of it, we'll tell you! We are good to our members, here, and demand respect for them.

» Like afore mentioned - affiliates are meant to bring in other, new members. Your site must be active so that there are members to attract. Similarly, we won't be accepting affiliates with websites that take advantage of the usage of one-liners, improper grammar/spelling, or anything of the sort. We must attract members that are similar to our own purposes, yes?

» static spots - are all we have available. Likewise, we don't have many spots even available. If you would like to affiliate with us, we require that we are in a static spot. (You can have other spots, but we must be in static.) Also, you may not have a ton of 'statics' resulting in a scrolling box - note: this is not static. -.-.

on another note...
» Vel only accepts non-animated banners. Animated ones annoy the crud out of cookie and also slow pages down (even by a little bit.) If you do not have a still-frame banner, feel free to provide us with your animation and we will make it still for you. Note that it will be the first frame seen (so if it's a blank image in the beginning, you will view blank for your banner.)

» We do not have many affiliate spots. If we say "Closed" we mean closed. We absolutely just do-not have the space to load our front page with tiny little banners that take up lots of room, sorry.

» Lastly, Wrenny and Cookie (as well as any other staff) can and will (for any reason they see fit) decline your affiliation. Even if their reasoning is "just because." Do not go on a rant about what we can and what we can't do; this is our site - we can do whatever we want and we don't appreciate being told otherwise.

because of our limited space, we are very selective of our affiliates. if you are not accepted: don't take it too roughly, we'll probably be declining a lot. D:
Requests will be deleted upon acceptance.
Requests will stay up so we may put or reasoning if rejected.
