WELCOME Here's a witty entrance line used to grab your attention! We plan to keep the rules simple and understandable for all. A short little skim through here should keep you out of trouble, yeah?
CHARACTER CREATION o1; we don't care if you can write a novel… …on why your cat has a missing toe. "It got run over by a monster" will suffice. There is no need to say anything like
"Once, long ago, in a far away land, the she-cat walked into the street where she came across a crazy psycho thing; she wasn't sure what it was. It turned out this thing was heavy, very heavy, and fast, very fast. She could not get out of the way, because it was fast. The fast thing was very fast and then hit her, thus resulting in her missing toe. Remember, monsters are fast and eat toes." no D<
o2; please think about the bio before you write it… You should have a general idea of what you want your character to be like first. This way, you don't have an unfinished bio sitting up there for more than three days. One week is as long as we keep the unfinished bios up there. In one week you should be able to fill in all of the missing information and fancif-y your coding if you want. After that, you'll have to PM us to move it out of Archives.
o3; use the form, it's there for a reason… In case you're a little confused about where the bio is… click "new thread."
o4; wait for your character to be accepted before roleplaying… duh.
o5; keep it semi-realistic... ...because while I understand that cats, realistically, cannot talk- these are liberties that I am granting for the sake of the roleplay. However, things like "her tail is green because she fell in a puddle of radioactive slime" do not work. Why was she near radioactive sludge in the first place? Do you even know what radioactive isotopes can change color pigmentation? (hint: not the kind found in slime) You do realize that a cat who had enough exposure to a radioactive isotope to have a green tail would have been dead long ago, right?
Lol, since when have cats had wings and strange colors? I'll grant you the liberty to make your own color patterns with real-actual-could-possibly-be-colors-on-a-cat colors. I may even grant the liberty to have white kittens come from a tortoiseshell's litter. But we will not have hot pink kitties with lime green tails running around.
ALSO- diseases. I am aware of certain diseases that cause strange coloration/mutation in cats. If you would like to use these, you're going to have to prove your knowledge of the disease and its effects. No: "My cat had it once, so I'm an expert" will not do. D<
IN THE FORUMS
o1; none of that power playing, god-moding hoopla! we all know that it's wrong to steal a bio or post or things of the sort - so why power play or puppet another person's character? Don’t do it or cookie will eat your first born child and kick your puppies.
o2; be respectful because seriously, the staff don't want to deal with you. If anyone has a problem with another member on the site, they are to PM the staff account. This means, the staff have to deal with you in a fair and tolerable way. That means that if Cookie is having a bad day, happens upon someone being an ass hole, and gets complaints about it, she may just sick her demon-slaying chocolate chips on you and slap a big ol' ban on you.
o3; hello… this isn't reality! It's unbelievable how many people take role-playing seriously. If a character says "I HATE YOU AND I'M GOING TO EAT YOUR MOTHER FUDGING KITTENS AND KILL YOUR FAMILY" this does not translate to "HELLO, THIS IS A DEATH THREAT AND YOU NEED TO CALL THE POPO." Just sayin'.
o4; in the event… …that you ask to be staff - you will be murdered and your psyche will forever be scarred. (In other words, don't do it D<) …that you ask for you bio to be checked - we will ignore your bio completely until you stop asking. …that your canary dies - get out of the mine, fool!
